Default Dual Maps - MY03 Spec C

Hi,

Does anyone know if you can put a dual high/low boost setting on a Spec C and have it switchable in-car using a ecutek remap?

Another wee question Here is a pic of my car just before it left Japan (getting it from Immy at Performance Centre Manchester) does anyone know what the two boxes are, the one next to the gear stick and the one stuck on the dash?

Cheers
Neil

Hi

Would it not save you on petrol if you used it? or would it use much the same? I was going to get a dual map for running to work and back and crank it up for the track

After a bit of googling it seems you can have two different maps on a STi JDM not just a high and low boost setting, but it takes a lot of extra mapping to do so not sure if its worth the extra money and if AndyF would do it. I'll ask him and see

I've no idea mate to be honest, i think the high boost setting is around 1.4bar and the lower one is around 0.8bar from memory. It was Andy F who mapped mine. I've been tempted to find out if it does make a difference, just haven't got round to it. The car has slightly better fuel consumption since the remap anyway, as it runs leaner off boost and i tend to change up at around 2500rpm just before the turbo comes in anyway. Somebody else might be able to answer the fuel consumption using the low setting.

The one stuck on the glovebox looks like a 4-way cigarette lighter extension. Can't really see the other one properly enough to tell.
