Default Rolling Road Result!!

Hiya guys,

Took my Scoob to Powerstation on Saturday for a power run, now he said it was running fine with the mods but the boost was having a bit of a drama!! Here's my graph-

The car hasn't had a remap yet and is running the standard turbo. Thr guy mentioned the wastegate not working as it should also and that a remap wouldn't sort the boost problem out. What would? A new actuator maybe (followed by remap)? When it cam on boost for the second time, the wastegate was completely shut!!

Thanks in advance guys!!

Merv

Does you STi have the PPP package mate? That is supposed to take the standard car up to 310 - 320bhp or thereabouts.

With a decat it might get to 340bhp but then again it is a Rolling Road so the reading might be slightly over anyway.

No PPP, was standard when I bought her, was a demonstrator which the MD of the garage used as a runaround!! The guy at Powerstation thought it was an RB320 to begin with then a 2.5 STi, but when I told him it was a normal UK 2.0 STi he was gobsmacked!! I'd like to know why too!!

Looks like boost creep to me, it will be fine if you get it remapped for 1.3 bar, at least it will have fuelling and timing to match! But if PS says is fuelling OK and isn't detting then you're OK - lucky but OK!!

sounds like either actuator problem, boost solenoid or i have come across cracks in the wastegate too causing similar faults
