I recently got an autometer gauge. But i'm wondering if it's calibration is miles out, because with engine off (ie atmospheric pressure), it reads exactly 3"Hg vacuum.
Does you gauge zero properly? if not, what does it read?
Thanks
Jon

Mine zero's OK when the engine is off. Sounds like a dodgy gauge.

Yep, mine sits at zero, and it was confirmed as being spot on by Power Engineering.

I think there is an adjustment screw on these gauges accessed from the back of the guage.
My Autometer guage and Map sensor tend to agree on the boost that I'm running even if 1.25 bar seems a little low for the power produced

At idle with AC on and going about 15 inHG with AC off about 18 - 19 inHG.
Mine also reads 0 when off, although low on the 0 mark.

Depends on atmospheric conditions wether it sits smack in the middle of the zero with the engine off. Mine varies very slightly but the accuracy has been checked, found to be spot on. Certainly shouldn't be 3"hg vac. Mine also reads 15"hg vac at idle, as much as 20 during cold start/ high idle.
