2002 sti MAF not connected
Hi Guys/Gals
picked up my wifes 2002 wrx sti type uk today after her type ra was stolen!!!! I didn't notice untill i got it home but the MAF is not connected and 2 wires have been cut from the connector. These 2 wires have then been wired into some sort of sensor on the underside of the intercooler any ideas WHY????? and what i should do about it?????? Thanks in advance
cheers

should i get it looked at? i havn't had the time to get a good look yet but will remove intercooler later in week to get a better look. the car feels a bit flat but i'm used to a daily drive with much more power so i can't tell!

I see where you coming from. But why would you have a simtec on an otherwise standard car. Unless ofcourse its been put back to standard. I have a similar sensor to that picture in my intercooler but its only there to measure charge temp on a gauge

Not necessarily as they may have sold the old ecu on. IMO you`re best bet is to try and get hold of theprevious owner. Thats your best bet of finding out what exactly is going on. Alternatively, take it to a tuner that will have some idea of what it is they`re looking at
