Default crank sensor question

Hello,

We all know that if you disconnect the crank sensor on 92-96 impreza WRX it will not start. What happens if the crank sensor is disconnected when the engine is running and the car is moving? Would it damage the enigie or would the car cough and spultter to a stop?

Cheers

Andy

LOL I would love to see that 1 guy lying on top of the engine with the bonnet up as the car is moving and the guy driving shouts ok ok ok NOW and the guy on the bonnet pulls the crank sensor off and the car stutters to a halt LOL
