Default MY STI6 RA

When turning the engine off i get a whirring sound that lasts a few seconds. Iv been told its the compressor blades spinning on the bearings, is this correct and my car is a sti6 typeRA. Thanks.

Yup this is correct, you can hear your turbo bearings slowing down.

Thanks for the info i assume my turbo is buggered then mate.

no.. mine does it too, its normal. if your turbo was buggered you would probably get smoke on boost

This is absolutely normal on a Ball bearing turbo
