Exclamation Head Bolts

Quick one for you guys,

I am in the process of replacing the head gasket on my mates c200 1995 Mercedes.

I have all the head bolts out bar 3 which to my extreme displeasure have rounded out, causing me to miss a scooby meet tonight

Anyhow, any tips for getting these dam things out?

Rich

you could try drilling the head of the bolt off, once the pressure of the torqued bolt has been relieved then you should find that it will come out via fingers. All you will need to do is centre punch the studs and drilll untill the head of the stud falls off?

Good luck!

If you can get at them, can you weld on a bit of bar or something so you can get some leverage?

They are hidden down blinking channels so cant get anything on em.

Going to have a go at drilling the heads off and seeing if i can then get the studs out.

Will let you know how I get on
