I have recentlly put my engine back into my Impreza after some repairs and it is idleing at 2300rpm and is also very lumpy.

I got error codes 24 and 31 i have replaced the idle control valve and still no joy and my boost solenoid ticks away on idle.

Any other ideas on what this might be?

And after replacing the icv i also have error code 23

23 is the MAF sensor, 31 is the throttle position sensor iirc
24 is the idle control valve but if youve replaced this do you still get code 24?

 

I reset my ecu and i only get code 31 Throttle position sensor circuit.

So im assuming this is the problem what can i do to fix it?

Ok just read the tps and it reads

0.88 Throttle closed

8.38 Throttle open

I have read it should be 0 when closed and 5 when open so im hoping this is the problem!

I have adjusted the tps and it now reads 0.38 Throttle closed

The engine managment light stays on unless you rev it above 2k

The boost solenoid is still tapping away on idle.

can anyone help me out with this?
