PLEASE HELP - ALL IDEAS VERY VERY WELCOME

1997 Impreza WRX STI Type R

Can anyone give me the symptoms of a knackered bottom end on the above model?

It will make a knocking noise that gets louder as you press the throttle...

You couldnt mistake it mate if its gone!
