Default holding back on boost

when i put my foot down on my 1996 uk impreza the car seems to be holding back/stutering,boost level seems to be up and down.this has started since ive fitted a chip,it is a genuine subaru chip that is suppost to let the car run at i1.2 bar,any ideas,thanks dave

The extra boost could be showing some weaknesses in the coilpacks and spark plugs.
How's the fuelling?
Where did you get the chip from (ebay perhaps?)

yea chip was from ebay lol,if i feed the throttle on slowley it seems to make a differance,aslo the actuator seems week if that narowes it down for u

Mine is doing the same mate. Ran it on V power and it helps but still stutters and loses boost. Changed plugs and its still the same. Ordering some new coil packs tomorrow so hopefully this will cure it! Mines a 95 wrx.

From what i have read on here before, EBAY chips are BAD news. Maybe yours is fine. I'm sure there is someone on here that could tell you moree.
