Default knocking noise

I have had a knocking noise appear on the front of my 03WRX, I fitted brembos the weekend so must be connected with this, the noise disapears when I touch the brakes. It is however quite load. I have no vibration or unusual feel through the steering, is this likely to be the pads moving or could it be something else that I have disturbed while doing the swapover. I have tried the obvious like loose wheel nuts and calipers. The car was fine for a couple of days after doing the changeover though.

Help appreciated

I will check, just in case, I presume you mean the large clip between the pads and the pins that hold them in, or do you mean the shims between pads and pistons
