I'm looking to buy a competition alternator for my Impreza race car.

Does anybody know where can I buy one?

I need a lightweight high output unit 130-150amp

I never heard of a light weight one, not sure how you would lighten it, all the components inside are needed and you cant make the internals out of ally as it wouldn't work.

Prodrive sell uprated units for the GP N rally cars, but it would depend on how old your car is as to weather they still support it.

McLaren Electronics Systems
Maybe too expensive though as this what works rally teams use and various other motorsport teams.

Some alternators feature a clutch that essentially disengages the alternator when at full throttle, not sure if they are available for impreza's.

I think its just a case of buying a modified alternator bracket to go rotated, isnt it?
