My impreza wrx 1992 model keeps hitting fuel cut, its running standard boost and the only mods are stainless exhaust, decat, dumpvalve and after market induction kit, It hits fuel cut at around 4000 - 4500 RPM and every time i keep it floored it cuts and goes then cuts again, its real . I know the wastegate is fine and there is no splits in any boost pipes
please someone help me

Have you changed anything prior to getting the problem. ie doing the decat ??????

Are there any error codes, does the CEL come on when the fuel-cut occurs?

Could possibly be MAP sensor or loose / blocked hose in this area.

Have you tested it on a boost gauge to check the pressure??

decat and the IK may be causing it.
i did both and on my 93 wrx got fuel cut so just changed upto a later model ecu and problem solved.
If it's doing it every time you drive then there may be a concerning problem.

My old 93WRX was doing exactly this, it was overboosting and the ecu would cut the fuel. All it took was to flush out the boost solanoid with some carb cleaner and it was sorted. Worth giving it a try as it costs nothing to do.

So you are sucking more air into the engine & flushing more gases out via a decat? Fit a boost controller/gauge. Sounds like you are overboosting.
It also could be MAF, dissconnect it then run it. If it still does it then your MAF is shot. DO NOT RUN for prolonged periods without MAF disconnected.
