Default Missfiring Problem on GC8

Hi guys

My brother has a 1994 WRX (JDM)

whenever the car is at full throttle at above 2500RPM the car missfires quite badly,

the car runs perfectly otherwise, idle is fine, etc etc

The car is throwing no codes

We will be changing the plugs, Coilpacks, and fuel filter, is there anything else it could be ??

All vacuum hoses seem to be ok

thanks in advance

Jim

is it juddering,??? can you keep a steady speed like 80 with it feeling right,

If it is juddering, mine was doing it up till last week, and went through most things, I changed the plugs as they needed doing anyway and did the fuel filter at the same time, and it still did it.

Checked all the pipes and nothing was split.

went to halfords and bought a ht lead as mine was misfiring on the drivers side, replaced the lead went for a spin nope,

Went to the clinic on saturday and tested one of there coil packs, went for a drive nope.

changed the MAF reset the ecu went for a drive, came back smileying

The only thing is mine was an all in one coil pack and yours are individuales and think there are £64ish each.

yes they are definately individuals

the car runs spot on when cruising, its just when you accelerate over approx 3/4 throttle

i unplugged the AFM on idle and it stalled which means its working (IIRC i read it on here)
may try and get a coil pack set i think
