Default Down-pipe question

I just bought a down-pipe for a blobeye wrx, and it doesnt have a point to put the sensor in, whats the story there?, i emailed the company and they said the sensor goes in the 2nd decatt pipe, but i thought there was one in the downpipe to control something with fueling but im not sure, can anyone shed any light here.

cheers.

On the blobeye, there are 2 sensors in the up pipe and one in the 2nd decat down pipe. my down pipe is 1 long pipe with removes both cat pipes and has one sensor at the end of it. the pipe is correct.

I will 'probably' be ok. You may suffer from overboost which is not good.
Dont drive everywhere on full boost and you should be ok til the remap.

Overboost is when the turbo creates more than the target boost pressure.

Is it bad because the car is not setup correctly to run that amount of boost. The air fuel ratio will (more than likely) not be correct.
In some circumstances fuel cut may kick in to prevent internal damage.

heat rap it to keep heat down in the engine bay and also since it joins the turbo to keep heat down at the turbo
also some say the downpipe can sound tinny and heat rap deadens the noise there.

is there anywhere u can get pre-written maps to reflash for your mods or close to mods, i have the OBDII cable/ software and wanna run my car like normal after downpipe install with out worrying about overboost, does anyone know where to look for these maps, i know about sites like openecu, im gonna get it mapped properly but cant afford it now, so its just to keep me going.

An openecu map will only cost about £300, i'd get it done anyway, or an Ecutek at about £550.
