One is a radiator and one is a condenser (mini radiator) for your a/c. Or it might be an oil cooler. All three work like radiators and use the air to cool the liquid.

Probably just rad and condenser - presumably you have something that looks like a radiator sitting on top of your engine? If so - thats your intercooler.

Four if you include the charge air cooler. On the top in turbo impreza's hence the scoop (not very efficient). Another little radiator that cools air with air, same principle. Not sure if the impreza has an oil cooler but I work on tractor cooling systems and they need a big oil cooler.

Does it look like this.

SUBARU WRX 19 ROW OIL COOLER KIT on eBay, also Engine Tuning Parts, Performance Tuning Parts, Car Tuning Styling, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 10-Apr-08 22:18:42 BST)

If so it's the oil cooler.
