Default new dataloggit plug problem!

hi guys,
I just received my new dataloggit...nice

BUT: it wont plug into the Apexi!!!
the 'PS2' style connector wont fit in place of the FC commander!

the plug is basically the same (same format, pins etc., however the central plastic alignment key is a different size! (much bigger on the dataloggit cable)
it appears my Apexi has a 'mouse' style socket whilst the Dataloggit has a 'keyboard' style plug! (just checked on wikipedia

anyone had this before?...id there a quick fix?
Ive emailed Dataloggit directly...but of course theyre in New Zealand...so theres a time difference

well this was far more difficult than I thought!
the apexi has a tiny key in the centre of the socket and the Commander plug matches
the datalogit has a large key in both plug and socket

so the small key fits in the big slot but vice versa doesnt

I went to the local pc shop to find that half their keyboards are large key and half small! (yet they didnt realise there was a difference - and in fact every PC seems to have large key sockets)

very confusing

so I'm gonna nip out the key on the datalogit plug

heres hoping!

Nip it out as you say.
I used a PS2 extension cable for my commander and done the same thing.
