Default DUMP VALVES

hi all im kenny.im new to this forum.just bought a 2004 blob eye wrx blue sti ppp.lookin to start modding it.what sosrt of dump would i be best going for.whats suits this car best? obviously id like one with a fearce loud note!! any suggestions team?

Yeah, you'll probably get a flaming from others for whom it isn't the modification of choice, but hey - it's yours, do what YOU want to do. I've had a Forge DV on for a few years now, no problems, very well made and sounds lovely.

There's lovers & haters for the aftermarket dumpvalve.

Go for the best you can afford, for example HKS, BLITZ, APEXI, FORGE. Stay clear of the cheap ones that are sold on ebay. More hassle than they are worth. Keep an eye out on the 'for sales' section there's always dumpvavles coming up for sale

Hi and Welcome.
Yeah stick with a quality make to avoid any probs, I have run a Forge VTA one on my scooby and cosworth before that with no issues it is currently on flea bay as im planning to go with a anti lag

thanks guys.much appreciated..i love this car so money isnt an issue.it will be getting the best of gear on it.plan on keeping it for a while.i plan to get it chipped and get the cats off it in the next few months.just fancied a wee dv just now

peoples arguement is that the car should have a recirc valve and not a vta valve. I have run my car on both and noticed slight hesitation whilst using my blitz dv.
Plus when you talk to tuners about upping the ponies considerably, none of them mention fitting a vta dv...
But its your car and therefor up to you. I havent read any posts on here from people who have had major problems from running a dump valve?
