Default Changing the inlet manifold

Hi guys, i've got a 93wrx and i'm looking to change my turbo. Due to the fact that the phase 1 manifold uses a 90 degree inlet for the turbo my options for changing the turbo are extremely limited. Would it be worth changing the manifold to a later one and if so which one and what else would i have to change to accompany it? I'm trying to figure out my options at the mo as i think my turbo is getting a bit tired and rather than just get the same turbo, this might be an oppartunity to upgrade. ie TD05-18g/ TD05-20g or maybe something a little different.

I can't help you on this one Taylor, but I have a link that may be of use if you need any manifold items... Carl Davey, specialist Subaru Impreza parts supply
Carl does some good gear but as said I'm not sure what of it may be of use to you at this point.

an easier method is to fit a 90 degree samco elbow to the turbo inlet, thus making a straight entry turbo into a snorkel one
