Default Oil leak

found a small oil leak coming from the top of the timing belt cover, its not much oil but its stinking out the engine and also the inside of the car when you put the heater on.

should I be concered about this leak ??
from what Ive heard it sounds pretty common

any advice apreciated , thanks

Easy answer is get it fixed. If oil gets on the timing belt it will cause it to deteriorate quicker and you don't want that letting go! Should be relatively easy to do while your at it you may as well pop a new cam belt on, just for peace of mind.

the cam belts being done in a couple of weeks, so the leak was well timed.
