Default Green Test Mode Connector - Classic shape

Hi , a question about the Green Test Mode connectors for the ECU.

I understand what the Black Read connectors do but what is the purpose of the Green Test Mode one when you connect it up.

tests all sensors etc.. rad fans pulse, boost solenoid pulses etc.. you can use both the black and green together to reset the ecu too

Thanks Simon. Thought it was that or similar but then a google came up with other spurious answers as well
