Default track rod????


hope the pic works, think its the track rod, the rubber boot is split rite open. easy fix??? expensive to replace track rod?

Thats the steering rack gaitor. Fairy easy to change. Remove track rod end and locking nut. slide old gaitor off and new one on replace clips(cable ties) bolt track rod end back on. Will require the tracking checked after youve done it as its almost imposible to get it back in exactly the same spot.

When the old gaitor is off check that no dirt or grit etc has got into the rack. clean if needed probably worth re-greasing as a matter of course

thanks for that, how much shud this move if at all? i can twist it and its knockin quite a bit. other side moves but not as much. cud this just be down to no grease in it? or cud it just be the track rod end?
