Default simtek anti lag

hi, im having a simtek ecu fitted at the end of the month and cant decide weather or not to have anti lag fitted, how do you switch it on and off and is it mapped into one of the maps or is it seperate and how would you switch between maps on the move,

Ryan,

ALS is switchable so you can run it when appropriate....i.e when your mates are with you!

It has two totally separate Fuel cut and ignition retard maps which are independent of the "normal" maps so you can have 2 levels of "severity" if you wish.

You can flick the switch on the move to activate or disable as required.The ALS is only active however when the engine is in "overrun" i.e with the throttle closed.

get it fitted, its well worth it for the extra few quid.
iv the switch just above the dccd.
i can flick it on when ever i want to.
you wont be sorry.
get the launch control while your at it.

Launch control is included in the "ALS" option package.....

pmsl noise why do u want ur car to sound like a rally car ?

sorry just cant get my head around that plus the turbo will blow itself to about 4 million peices

Antilag as used on a WRC or Group N rally car when it is switched on with a jacked open throttle and left on for a 10km stage or more is quite abusive to turbos..They develop positive boost from the moment it is turned on and the throttle is jacked open by the kicker ...

Antilag in it's mildest form (that which is being described) does no long term damage to turbos...It is more for show use than anything else but can be applied in the same manner should the owner be using it for a motorsport application....

when we had mine mapped and were setting up the antilag,
we put it on full anti lag....wow.
mine set on mild and is still loud as ****.
