Default changing to mph

can anyone tell me the easiest way to convert the car from kmph to mph.
I have the part for doing it.
I'v been told that you can get your hand up under the dash and change it that way or I can take the clocks out and its behind there.
Can anyone help?
Any pics of where I'm looking under the dash? What exatly needs unplugged to fit the small adapter?

Cheers

has anybody done this themselves? The part looks like I need to unplug a cable, plug the small adapter in to the cable and replug into whatever the cable came out from.
Just need to know what i have to pull out?

If you've got the same part as i have then its quite simple. Just unplug the speedo cable from the back of the clocks and fit it inbetween
If your hands are skiny enough you get get up behind the dash, other than that you need to take the clocks out.

The speedo cable goes on this end:

you push this end onto the back of the clocks:

At least someone else has the same part as me, I was a bit worried that after seeing the other picture that I had the wrong part.
I think you just need to unplug the speedo cable from behind the clocks, plug the adapter in and then plug it back in.
I'd just rather do it from underneath rather than take the clocks out,but from underneath im not sure exactly where the speedo cable is.
The nearest subaru garage that'll do it for me will cost me at least £60 in petrol there in back plus the cost of installing the part, might have to do that if i cant change it tho.

I take mine to a local garage who specialise in vehicle electrics, I have always found them very good. I also bought a set of lockwood white guage faces off fleabay last week so i will have the two items fitted together, I will post up how much i get charged for the job when they do it,probabally at weekend.
