hello there ive noticed lately when driving scoob that when i lift off throttle it seems to carry on revving for a few seconds and today when i pulled up at lights revs dropped to round 500 then back up to 1000 never done that before, any suggestions?? runs fine does seem a bit thirsty though

 

does it have a vta dump valve? maybe leaking

usual culprit on 99 is maf for those symptoms but not on your 97.
