just back from the cinema and my newage wrx seems to be chocking/stalling at 5k. it powers through the revs up this point when it starts to 'choke' and doesnt want to go any further through the revs. this happens in every gear. drives sweet other than that ie if a didnt reach these revs i wouldnt know there was an issue.

all the mods that are req for an Andy F stage one map are fitted if this helps

this happen to anyone else? common fault? any ideas?

so it's got mods but not mapped yet ?

that's your problem, it's hitting fuel cut, it's running wrong so the ecu is cutting it back.

andy will sort it on the map but ffs go steady till he's seen it or you'll paying alot more for a rebuild.

so you think its a fuel issue then

 

or maf sensor or leaky pipe/hose (turbo,intercooler,bov areas) , could be a number of things bud , how close are you to andy ?
could be worth PM'ing him , he'll probably be along in a bit anyway.

certainly sounds like fuel cut though , go steady till you've got it sorted though
