Have error code 12 (starter switch)

anyone know where this is and what it looks like????

it is the transition from ignition on to turning the starter motor on the ignition barrel / key

My scoob is a 95 WRX unmoddified (except ESL chip fitted by Andy@ESL), its done it twice in about 3 months. 1st time my mrs tried to start it, I tried half an hour later and it just started no problem. 2nd time I ended up bumping it and it started straight away.

What do you reckon?

prob needs a new starter/ignition swich as copper contacs in the switch get worn and dont conect somtimes. this is located by removing stearing colum suround and its based at the bottom of ingnition barrel. its black plastic, about half inch wide an inch round with bout 5 wires comining out of it and but its prob got some security scerws holding it on maybe. vauxhalls had to take stearing wheel off to get to top grub screw dont know on scooby

or started soliniod is sticking sometimes another posibillity perhaps
