Default Clutch fluid change on new age

Hi all,

Is it worth changing the clutch fluid on a new age 02? I've looked in the tub and its got like a fat layer on it, but it still works perfectly.

Does it really need only Dot3 or can you use something else like dot 5.1? Brake and clutch fluid tends to be the same anyway?

Brake fluid should be changed every couple of years, and seeing as it's the same stuff, i'd change it, it's not so critical being the clutch and not brakes, but changing it can do no harm what-so-ever.......

Cheers chap, so you think 5.1 will do the job well? I dont know the difference between 3 and 5.1 except the latter is more expensive.

Its something I'd not thought of before until I opened the lid, didn't look good so will change.
