Default Resonator box on a newage

I read that removal of the resonator box helps the spool up time and noise of the turbo and gives a better induction noise, has anyone done this or know if its worth the hassle and time, im running with a unprated panel filter on a newage. any info would be good.

Definately made mine more throatier, more of an induction noise but I too fitted a cold air feed from below the front fog straight into the airbox.

Some people just remove it altogether and no, it doesn't bring the light on.

jack up the drivers front wheel and remove not nescary but easier. pull back the wheels arch from the front. inside your see a black box. easy to tell as it connects to the airbox in engine bay.. 2 nuts and bolts 12mm i think. pull it out making sure its clear of air box. while your there you might as well treat the old girl to a direct airflow using pipe straight to airbox from front bumper. i removed fog light. you can see in my scoob. good luck
