Default Squeeky belt...

Hi all

got a squeeky belt, starts after about 30secs after start up. ive played with the tension on the aircon belt but not the alternator belt. the sound seems to be coming from the passengerside of the cambelt.. its been 2.5years since my cambelt was changed.

does the cambelt tensioner or a pully cause the belt to squeek when on the way out?

cheers

Rich

Just an idea, have you ran the air con recently? I had a squeak from the same area, it was due to me not running the air con in the winter. I ran it for 20-30 Min's and it went never to return.

Likely be the alternater belt rather than the air con. tighten the belt up a little

cheers guys ill give both suggestions a go. When i do get the cambelt done wheres the best place to get a new tensioner from for the cambelt and possibly any pullys that might be past their best.

cheers
