Default TMIC STI Efective Limits...

Hi Everyone,

I have a forrester sti 04/54 2.5 with a v41 turbo it has had the following mods done to it

3 inch custom exhaust
de- cat
HKS mushroom filter
AVR boost controller
re- map to 1.3 bar =340 BHP approx
HKS iridium plugs
Walbro 255 ltr fuel pump

My question is how much further could you safely boost without any further mods other than a bigger turbo or will I need to upgrade from 440 injectors and bigger intercooler (front or top mount?) .
I am looking for a reliable 380-400 bhp and need to know a realistic budget.
Does anyone recommend anyone for the work around sussex

thanks

Above comment is valid, but to try to comment on your question:

My Sti V3 hit 360/370 bhp but needed 550cc injectors, Walbro pump and SX regulator to fuel it.
At the time it has also a version * big TMIC which was 'ok' but heated up really fast when on the rollers. A minute under full power load was enough to cook the charge air.

I have since gone FMIC and the time it will sustain 370 is far far far longer, would say 5 times more at least.
I race my Sti so this is important compared to a road car perhaps.

I cannot think of any tuner in Sussex but contact the good guys like AndyF who travel the country. He might be in your kneck of the woods at some time?

Graham.
