Default Oil Leak On an Impreza 95 WRX Import - Pics Inside

Hi Guys, fairly new to the forum so be gentle...

I have had the car for 4 months and I have noticed the car has sprung an oil leak.

Had a quick look with the car jacked up and it looks like its leaking from two points..

I will also mention that looking down through all the pipes and stuff from the top on the left hand block it looks like there is some oil patches/puddles.

One - directly under/on oil filter;

Two - directly on/under gearbox casing;

Top View - I have noticed the powersteering fluid is a little low but that didn't explain the thick black gunk that was leaking out the bottom.;

Any ideas on what this could be guys as its a little worrying having an oil leak on such a car.

Peace out!

Power steering leag is probably the o-ring at the bottom of the resevoir.. Mine went and was leaking quite badly, change the o-ring and its been fine since!

The fluid is probably sloshing about on top of your engine for a bit and picking up more crud, then leaking down the front !
