Default Low idle & stalling

Hey guys, saloon out of mothballs and out on the open road but not idling at all well. Fluctuating between 500-1000 rpm, and stalling at the most inappropriate times. Oil & fuel pressure seems consistent, and when on the power all is pretty much normal. Recently had a couple of problems boosting as well. Could it be the MAF sensor? is it worth changing plugs also maybe? Thanks

on very early ones it is unusual. to be maf. air flow will usually hunt on tick over from cold. air control idle valve sounds more favorite. on the top of your inlet back to wards the passenger side there is a grey round switch held by 2 small phillips and wire plug. crack the 2 screws and start up if you swing the swich both ways then return to original marks. the valve inside can stick.old sticky oil etc. probably your cheapest fix aswell matty
