Hi all
I have a 1996 wrx import and had a scooby pro chip fitted which is supposed to raise boost to 1.1bar. However i got it rolling roaded (they did the run in 3rd gear) and the boost was only 0.94 bar ..

The guy said that it was probably due to the fact the chip was mapped for a full decat and filter. I have a aftermarket panel filter in the standard air box and have been advised to run a cold air feed and to fit a decat d/p as the standard downpipe with cat is probably limiting the boost. I have also cleaned out my boost solenoid and even though it is boosting well just not hitting 1.1 bar.
So can a standard downpipe really limit boost this mutch and will fitting a decat downpipe improve things in addition to the cold air feed?
