Fault codes 21,24,31...HELP!!!!??
Hi ive just found the fault codes and they are as follows... oh its a late 93 wrx turbo import...
21 - Engine coolant temperature sensor
24 - Idle air control solenoid
31 - Throttle position sensor
Question is, what do i do now?
Do i reset the ECU and see what happens then?
Ive changed fuel from normal to super about 3 fill-ups ago...dont know if that changed anything?!
Its been running quite lumpy recently but i was going to do a service and see if that fixed her.
PLEASE CAN SOMEONE ADVISE ME!
Thanks

We'd tend to recommend a re-set first, then see what gives. We've often seen them where they come in with loads of fault codes and a misfire. The cure is often to check the coil packs out, and replace them if cracked. Scoobies don't like HT misfires, and will often produce duff fault codes as a result. For some strange reason, the coolant sensor seems to be the most likely bang on correct fault code, or that's been our experience!

Gonna reset ecu in morning..if after i do this, the same fault codes appear again-does that mean i gotta replace all these items (eg the coolent temp sensor) or do i need to fix em somehow? the garage checked the coils and said they were runs altho im gonna check them myself. they suggested plugs...

the other codes could be old or as a result of it running mega rich and struggling to idle etc..
