sometimes i get a little ticking noise like tapetty from the engine,I know theyre loud engines to start with so I may be being paranoid, and theres definately no sign of power loss , just had it imported and havent done a filter and oil change,what do you guys think, its a 95 STI Type RA

I have the very same thing on my 95 RA, i've decided it's a noisy lifter,and as there solid with shims,it's a cam out job to put right.The noise is worse some days than others to.

Thanks for replying mate, thats what it sounds like now youve mentioned that, thanks mate youve put my mind at rest, how much is it for the lifters n stuff, im new to all this subaru stuff,ask me owt about Cosworths and I`ll know...subarus is a different matter
