Default under boosting??

hi, i own a 94 wrx jap import (power upgrade model) 260ps as standard and don't know if its under boosting or not. at the moment it boost's at 0.7 bar, is this right?? if not what can i do to fix this. many thanx.

WRX (1995/96) ECU Z4 - 12.71psi, dropping to 11.78psi @ 6600rpm. Fuel-cut 15.65psi.

or

0.87bar dropping to 0.81bar @ 6600rpm. Fuel cut 1.07bar

depends how accurate your boost gauge is because if you go by those figures then you are underboosting slightly.

Cleaning the boost solenoid may help

how does that work then ? do i have to take it apart and is it easy?? thanx p.s its only a cheap boost gauge

has it got the standard plastic dumpvalve on it? My uk turbo had one and it was so stiff that the car was only running to about 0.6-0.7 bar

To clean it you can spray brake cleaner into the pipes (or do a search for 'cleaning boost solenoid')

on 97 ron it should run at 1bar.

its got a hks sqv dump valve on it ? and always run it on shell v-power with it being an import. will have ago at some spray to clean it, cheers
