cam belt tensioner

Default cam belt tensioner

tryed doing the cam belt today but could get the tensioner on as the belt was to tight , how do you do it ? or is there another way of putting the belt on around it cheers

I assume youve compressed the tensioner in a vice? and locked it back with a small allen key or drill?

thats cool. Be carefull when compressing the tensioner. Dont just wind the vice up. do it slowly in stages. and Dont forget to remove the drill/allen key when the belts on
