I am about to buy a new WRX. Should I fit a prodrive back box. Magazines I have read say that they bring back the flat four rumble. Great ! After owning a 99MY with the standard system I am wanting something that brings out the growl ! But is it tiresome on a long cruise ?

I had one fitted last week to MY02 and it sounds much better, it rumbles really nice. There is not much more in car noise as the sound proofing in the MY02 is really good, in fact you need to wind down the back windows to get the full effect!! The only complaint I have is that it has an oval tailpipe rather than a round one.

Yorkie.

Buy it you wont be dissapointed. I have one on my MY01 and it sounds great, people in the area still turn there heads when you go by under accelration. It doesn't drone on the motorway unless you are really caning it in the outside lane and even then its not too bad.

Sillysi.

Glad to hear you got yours.

Nathan..

I had one initially. Now I have the TSL Group N spec version. Much deeper noise. Prodrive is a bit raspy IMHO.

I am in Leeds. Drop me a line if you want to listen to it.

Thumbs up

I'm in Leeds lmao

My UK300 still gets the heads turning when I'm flying down the road.......lovely in third gear.

I travel through some small villages to get to work and I'm sure people dont use alarm clocks...just wait for scooby to drive past.

Put one on my 01WRX. Wonderful, sounds and looks fab.
02 on order for march, dealer swapping exhausts for free so i only have to then stump up £1250 for the full PPP.
Only thing is, I really can see why people eventually want an even louder box but that could get embarrassing!

Talking

Jason - my alarm clock consists of a MkII Golf GTi with twin DTMs, passes our house at 8.26 each morning.

Sounds crap but at least it wakes me up

That wouldn't be a silver GTi convertible would it?
