Default OBD II Cable, Will this one work on an 03 Impreza?

I've recently purachsed this cable... VAG-COM USB KKL OBD 2 Cable VAG.COM interface AUDI / VW on eBay, also, Diagnostic Tools Equipment, Garage Equipment Tools, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 20-Jan-08 19:41:46 GMT)

Does anyone know if this will be able to read the fault codes on my mates 03 plate wrx, if so what software is available for free to download as i'm only looking to see why his management light is on

Thanks

IIRC it's the same one (VAG) as I use on my 05 (and mate's 06 spec C) and it'll do all the date logging/ECU reset/fault codes etc..

What it won't do is re flash (remap) the ECU, which from what you've posted, you're not after anyhow..

What software are you using BTW..?

Unfortunately the Enginuity site has been down for a while. You can also try the demo version of ecuEdit ecuEdit :: Index
