ticking sound

Default ticking sound

hi all, was fiddelin about under bonnett 2day and wen i gave it a tiny bit of throttle there was a tickin sound on the drivers side of the engine. gave it a bit more and it went away. is this just the injectors? dont think its anythin to worry about. car is 94 wrx import.

If the engine was cold and it goes when it warms up or when you rev slightly I would not worry too much. Its mainly valve clearances when the engines cold. Once warmed up it should be gone completely. It might be an injector ticking slightly also apparent from under the bonnet. When did you change the oil last, ideally should be every 6 months or so. Quality oil will protect when cold, and take it easy until everything is warmed up nicely.
