Talking TD04 Turbo Question

Hi guys.

Can MY00 classic wagon with ej205 engine, which i am told has the TD04 Turbo be replaced with a TD05 Turbo like this one on ebay???? :-http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=140197008685&ssPa geName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=004

Would it be same fitting etc?

Many thanks

I thought the td05 had different fittings for the Evo to the impreza.

You would need to remap the car for the Td05 though.

As said above the evo has a different fitment compressor housing etc, you can have this converted or buy one already done. You will also need to have your ECU remapped to suit your new turbo, your existing ECU is remapable through an Ecutek dealer or you can run something aftermarket like Apexi, Gems etc.

One option would be going down the Remap route first and make use of a good free flowing exhaust to boot to max out your current set up, as in most cases it’s not just the turbo you will be needing it's larger injectors, fuel pump re map an so on.

Oh,
by the way, someone suggested cleaning out the boost solenoid pipes.

As i am new to the car, where about are these.

Is it pipes to a small denso unit behind the airbox????
