Default advice please, engine light on once again...

hi guys, just wondering what you think of this, got a 2002 wrx bugeye, the engine light came on 3/4 weeks ago so off i go to subaru for a new cam sensor, a week later its on again, so back i go again it had a misfire on cyl 1 so it turned out to be a loose wire on a coil pack.. then yesterday exactly the same thing happened on a bumpy road the engine light flashed then 40/50 miles later it came on an stayed on but the thing is i sorta new it would as it was the same the time before, ive also noticed between the light flashing and coming on permenant when i change gear the revs go up for a split second?? any ideas??? also what i wanna know is my car going to do this forever as i carnt do more than 500 miles without a trip to subaru?? to be honest its getting on my t.ts now...anyway soz for boring u to death, hav a good un.. advice much appreciated thanks in advance

classic sign of neutrel position sensor problem, ecu is not sure when you are in gear.
