Your car will not run as well, but not significantly worse. There is absolutely no performance benefit, so you'll be spending a few hundred quid on just a noise. There is evidence to support that over time they can damage your engine and exhaust components, but do a search as it's been well covered and I'm fed up of telling people only to be derided by the chavs who love them. IMHO, save the cash and spend it on handling mods or professional driver tuition which will make your car not only much faster, but safer too.

I have only fitted this as along with other bits ive recently fitted and they will work well togther after remap by A F on Thursday.
And yes i thought £35 was a bargain for some noise as you put it considering theyre £140 new.

They dont do anything performance wise or detremental to your engine (If they were then why would subaru fit one as standard??????) , but if you like the noise of an atmospheric one then why not go for one........
The only issue with BOV's is if they leak under vaccum allowing air in that is not being metered.

when they dump they let out the air that has been metered= slight overfueling.

as for a leaking bov you need a twin piston one, a single piston bov will leak and make the car run like poo.

I have a forge VTA fitted to mine.

Car runs just as well as it did with the OE dump valve.

Starting to get bored of the noise now tho

I have a HKS ssq and it sounds awesome. On low boost it lets out a whistle and on full boost a wrc type chirp. I love it, but i also like the sound of my induction kit sucking like a ***** and de-cat exhaust

It just depends on personal preferance. If i was driving the car all day i would get a bit pissed off with all the noise i think, but i'm in a work van all day and only drive the scoob occasionally
