Default Dropping Revs at Idle

Hey guys and gals i have recentley fitted a Blitz blow off valve and now my car doesnt run right at idle the revs drop so much the car almost stalls then goes back up to 1000 rpm then drops again eventually its stabalises at 1000rpm. It seems to be worse when i have just given it a bootfull! I cant see and leeks or gaps in or around the boost hoses including the blow off valve. Any ideas? or has anyone else experienced this? Cheers.

yes that will happen with an atmospheric BOV if you are still using the MAF sensor. The computer is reading the metered air and fuelling accordingly but not all of that air is entering the engine, as it gets vented to teh atmosphere. You need a map sensor setup otherwise the problem won't go away.

if i was you i would remove the dv as it causes ideling problems and will make ur car run rich that wastes fuel.....inorder for you to run a dv on ur scooby it is adviseable to get it mapped. the dv is basically baffling ur ecu as the recirculation of air is not calculated correctly.....this could lead to engine det gradually.

hope this helps

i would take that with a pinch of salt.^^^

i had one of them dv mine done exactly the same as yours so i sold it.

you can get twin piston or single piston ones i had the single one hence why it wouldnt run right.

you can play with the nut on top all day long, you will get it better but not right.
