Was told by my mapper thats fine for the year of car.

Still best to get it checked out though just for peace of mind.

Engine light will most probably be your knock warning or your injectors maxing out, either way you can monitor these on the commander under monitor and select the peak hold function this will tell which it is.

It’s not advisable to drive the car on full load until it’s resolved.

the numbers 1-4 and 8 are how many channels you wish to monitor.

1 channel = monitor 1 reading
2 channel = monitor 2 readings

etc....

ok thanks everyone ive sussed the fc now.given it a good hiding this morning and i have a apexi avcr with 3 stage boost, nock info is as follows...@1bar it reads 6-7 @1.2bar 9-10 and @1.4bar 18, is this good or bad?light flickers about 6,000-6500rpm. on the injector moniter it says 100% peak,i looked in the injector settings and 1,2 and 3 read 62.0% 4 reads 62.5% and 5,6 read 100% is this right why is there such a difference between these percentages

You don’t want to start messing with the settings menu, injector settings are ok there, and knock seems fine. Injectors are maxing out this could well be the reason for the check light depending on how the power fc was set, you can also check the sensors are working correct in the sensor select A map tweak will also address the above.

sounds most likely injector warning.. although that is more a solid light warning rather than flashing..

check the injector warning is on ETC --> FUNCTION SELECT --> INJECTOR WARNING.

however maxxing 550s with a vf28 is some going.. check an intercooler pipe is not loose etc.. and I assume it didn't do this but is now.

'safe' levels of knock vary from car to car. Only really your mapper can say what's the right range. In general though knock peaks in single figures are pretty much normal for any Scooby, AFAIK. Some are running spot on with knock readings in the teens or even twenties, whereas for others that's too much and indicates a problem.

Go into SETTINGS --> AIRFLOW and which number is it on?

Default knock

when mine was mapped pat the mapper said only worry at 60 on knock and thats mostly due to bad fuel i was also told by another dealer that engine check light is sometimes used as rev limiter light and mine comes on at 7000/7500 in 4th gear and you can display the knock numbers on the screen it tells exact peak figures and resets when you turn ign off ..

it varies from car to car and engine to engine..

there is no rev limiter light on the powerfc other than the noise of the engine as the ecu removes all fuel as you bounce off the limiter causing a high knock reading and therefore flashing CEL. . whcih is not what is happening here and is not good to do either.

yeah should be.. I'd just drive it gently.. you have no idea whether the map the garage put on it is still the one on there etc, and the CEL is flashing.. I'd stick below 4000rpm and just drive it part throttle.

the knock agreed doesn't sound high.

i've got it at about 5000revs, mines caused by lack of fuel so i drive slow everywhere.

I've got new injectors an a walbro 255 so when there fitted it'll be fine.

yours may be the same
