Default Changing oil when changing turbo?

Ok, so I have VF35 to go on to replace the old turbo. Its a second hand turbo with 25K miles on it.

I am due a service in the next 4 weeks but need to change the turbo over Chrsitmas.

Is it worth changing the engine oil when fitting the turbo just to have it all changed again in a few weeks in the service? I was considering changing it then having a service soon after, I cant use the boost anyway until I get it mapped on Jan 26th.

If the turbo was new I would have no issues about using new oil straight away but with a second hand turbo am I not so sure.

I would check with the garage if they will service your car but leave the oil as it is.

If they are happy to do that then change it with the turbo.
