Default Crank!!!!

My car has been back on the road for approx a month since the head gaskets went but now the cranks let go . Just weighing up a few options such as rebuild, new engine , burn it etc.... I'v been quoted £2k for a rebuild which includes a drilled crank and uprated oil pump to stop it from bending again!! Would you say that was a good price?? Im on a budget and a bit skint after the gasket problem so any ideas would be welcome

the crank to use would be a STI 7/8/9 crank as it has better oilways and the later ones are nitrided too.

The OTHER main component to consider is the bearings - use ACL RACE series bearings and they should last forever

I believe it will fit straight in, but not 100% sure - give Mark a call at Lateral Performance and he will advise and supply at a good price.
