Default kn typhoon eatin petrol

hi all
just had typhoon induction fitted and i think my car is eating alot more fuel since i fitted it is this right????
if so would a remap make it any better???

what version scoob have you got? a remap will all ways inprove things

As with most induction kits the K&N Typhoon alters the MAF signal and will cause the ECU to add more fuel than is ideal.

Is that 'alters' as in screws up?

I agree, the fine tuning of the airflow into the sensor (and scaling of reading) is just not seen with AM induction kits, screw with the quality of airflow in and the MAF can end up reading low (not enough fuel - bad) or high (too much fuel)...
