Heater question for classic owners
I've had my UK 2000 Turbo for about a year now, and still see the same issue.
I was getting nagged by my missus that here feet were always getting cold, unless i put the heater on feet, and hot, with the fan on, or changed the heater to be recirc, as opposed to outside.
I've taken the glove-box out, and the blower motor and found the way the recirc/outside flaps work.
When the outside setting is set, and the heater on hot, with no blower on, the outside air comes in, and goes through the static blower motors fans, straight out to the inside, side, of the bulkhead, which then bounces back into the passenger foot-well, leading to moaning missus syndrome.
When you change the flap to be recirc, the air comes from the glove-box area.
My question's are:
Is there a missing piece of trim from under the glove-box, thats shields this cold air?
Is their a piece of foam missing from the blower motor casing part that outputs the bulkhead, to stop the flow of cold air?.
Is it just a scooby trait, so just use gaffer tape you your missus?
